They always let you get but so far, before they take everything away from you... Urgh! Experienced that a tad to often, hope it doesn't have to happen again... Anyways, been thnking alot lately, since the O Lvl results, everything. Sigh, it hasn't been easy lately. =/

Well, been going through the scriptures, found these lines meaningful. Somehow, they struck me more than the others.

Murder Begins in the Heart

Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.

Go the Second Mile

You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

Love Your Enemies

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.

"His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'
"But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.

"Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.

~Well, maybe some of you, however few of you that would be might understand why i put this here. But in any case, I feel that these words are very striking, to say the least. Indeed, as simple the lesson might seem to be, it is, difficult to a very high degree. I wonder, if I could do all this? Not without the help of The LORD, I cant. =/

Anyways, Olevel results out on monday if u are that lag as not to know, hope I can go to a decent JC. Sigh, no confidence for my olevels coz some1 made me screw it up. But sad la, this universe not fair 1. So, i suai? =.= Like wth la. =.=

Okok, i noe im talking wierd, maybe its coz of the dota match just now. yea, first time i died so amny times in years . Really. Never this bad before. Wth la, how can la? =.= Nvm, shall own a few matches to make up for it... =/ Hahas, so confident wors...

Sianz, shall post again soon k? Just decided to make a crap 1 to fill up some space haha. shall do a proper 1 soon!!!

Result: You struggle with the guard and the gun goes off, suddenly theres a tremendous shot of pain through your leg. You limp from the bank and head to the hospital.

Wow, this is my first post of the year, let it be meaningful in a refreshing way...

Just came home from Watch Night Service. Yeps, for some reason, its one of the most meaningful services of the year to me. Perhaps, as God wills it, it's on of the times when I look back at the year past, and ponder. Indeed, what better a time?

Well, it is un-denyable that 2008 has indeed be a year of testing, of trials. Yups, from O'levels, to the struggles of the senior year, even to the financial crisis, and the melamine food scandal. Yes, indeed, few would hardly find a more difficult year than 2008, even in Formula 1.

2008 to me has been a year of great pain and joy. It was a year of great loss, great grief. This was a year where my friendships and relationships were put to the test, and sadly, I have had tremendous loss, loss of people close to me, people who will forevermore be irreplaceble. This was a year that has taught me to cherish what I have, and not take things for granted. Be it my future, my friends, my loved ones. For indeed, what The LORD gives, He can also take away.

Regret. That is the feeling that fills me as i ponder over what has happened over the year, and maybe beyond. If only I could turn back the clock, Oh! what I would do to correct all those mistakes! Not just my studies, but also all those loved one's I've lost! Oh!

But still, I've to admit that at least there are the very few who do care about me. I give thanks to The LORD. I am deeply encouraged. Sigh. But still, to have love lost, is agony in itself.

I could carry on with penning down my reflections, but here's the essential gist of it. I wonder, if there's still hope to turn things around? Perhaps, with a new year also marks a new beginning? Maybe, but I will cling on to any glimmer of hope there is. Glory be to God, The merciful and compassionate One.

In the devotion just now, a particular portion of scripture struck me. It's from the book of one of the minor prophets, in Habakkuk chapter 3, and reads:

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom,

neither shall fruit be in the vines;

the labour of the olive shall fail,

and the fields shall yield no meat;

the flock shall be cut off from the fold,

and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,

I will joy in the God of my salvation.

You don't have to be a Christian to understand and find it meaningful. Afterall, truth is truth. Though easy as these verses sound, indeed, it is challenging to the core, especially for those of this generation. I pray, that the new year ahead will be one where we learn our lessons well, and live to the fullest possible. This is going to be a year of important decisions and trials. May 2009 be blessed, to all of you reading my blog, and all of God's people.

Hahas, thought it be good to have a few solemn posts once in awhile. My apologies for not posting regularly enough, perhaps i shall change that yea? Good night ppl, shall be turning in soon. Sorry if this post bores you, but may The LORD bless you the greater, if you do find this meaningful. =)
